Friday, September 5th, 2008 by Sam Mittelsteadt

What a way to get some ink! To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Living Canvas Tattoos in Tempe will host a 15-hour fundraiser on Sept. 15. A half-hour tattoo session costs — you guessed it! — $15, and all proceeds go to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

The tattoo studio, at 946 S. Mill Ave., will not take appointments for these session; it’s first-come, first-served from 9 a.m. to midnight. There will be food from restaurants such as La Bocca, Z Tejas and Frasher’s, and DJs will spin during the tattoo-athon. For information about the fund-raiser or the anniversary party at Dirty Pretty the next night, call (480) 829-6966 or check out the Living Canvas website.
