Well, given this news, I’ve had a few calls and e-mails wondering what will happen to the blog after this week.

The answer/good news: It will keep chugging along, making fun of Tyra Banks and assorted “Project Runway” flunkies, suggesting new products to try out, asking your opinions and giving out free stuff. I’ll just be doing it as a freelancer instead of a full-time staffer.

I’ll continue to write style, fashion and beauty articles for the Tribune’s print and online editions, including the Great Stuff columns and What’s in Store features.

Speaking of What’s in Store … I need your help! I’ve got a ton of contenders in Scottsdale (surprise?) but I would love some suggestions on stores to profile in the more southern part of the East Valley — anywhere from Ahwatukee to A.J., Tempe to Queen Creek.

When she dropped off the prize for this Shoe Hot or Not contest today — the earrings are beautiful! the photo doesn’t quite do them justice! — Miachelle suggested a newish place on Higley and Guadalupe, and another store she found a few deals at, so I’ll be sure to check them out, for starters.

But I’m always looking for other locally owned stores (or tiny start-up chains) that deserve a little press. If you’ve got a shop you love — or have always wondered about — click on this link to shoot me an e-mail and I’ll investigate.
