Save 15% at Lather and help domestic violence victims

Lather, the bath and body care chain with a store at Kierland Commons shopping center, is hosting another discount/charity event at its store Aug. 22. (I think they do more such events for area nonprofits than any other store I’ve written about!). Bring in items for Homeward Bound, which helps domestic violence victims get back on their feet, and get 15% off purchases. The requested items and more information are after the jump.

The store is specifically looking for: diapers sizes 4, 5, and 6; vacuum cleaners; pots, pans, dishes, and glassware; cleaning supplies; small working appliances; bedding, pillows and linens; irons and ironing boards; personal hygiene items; packaged food items including beans, pasta and sauce, cereal, juice, and sugar.

(Now, don’t be cheap and turn in like a single can of beans. The store will still give you the discount, but that’s lousy karma. Be generous for people who need help! Generous should be part of the new glamorous.)

The event will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the store, 15211 N. Kierland Blvd., Phoenix. (The store is between Chico’s and Ann Taylor Loft.) Information: (480) 483-6633.
