I’m not sure why Betsey Johnson has been on my mind lately — maybe it’s because her flirty, floaty dresses seem even more attractive in sultry summer weather. And the colors in this suede Tiara sandal remind me of oceanside summers — the light blue water, green leaves, tan sand … sorry, just having a little San Diego craving there.

The other two color combinations aren’t bad, either — the violet multicolored one at left may be a little too girlicious for my tastes, but the black multicolor at right has a nice balance. It’s interesting to see how swapping out the color of soles can make such a visual difference. I’m not sure about suede for summer — and I would like to know how tall that platform is, to see how much of the 4 1/2-inch heel is mitigated by the tall sole.

Nonetheless, I like how she brands the bottom of her soles (see right) — but it would also make me not want to walk on them for fear of scuffing up the surface and ruining the design. At least the gold bows would stay intact, anyway. (Even better are the soles that have roses on them.)
