Shoe Hot or Not: ‘Monaco’ sandal edition

I have issues with this week’s shoe.
I don’t mind the top view of this “Monaco” sandal byYves Saint Laurent (which are being pre-ordered now for $860). But there is a LOT going on — big ol’ costume jewels, plexiglas, sequins …
But the embellishment is ALL OVER the place — the side of the heel, even the back. I mean, the heel goes from green to black to blue to pink to blue jewel.
Which turns it from kind of kicky to overkill. I think I am officially ready to declare this shoe Not Hot.

They are colorful but too much going on -no center of interest so to speak. I don’t think many women would wear this even if they were given a pair for free. I know I wouldn’t.

Oddly enough I am strangly attracted to these shoes. All signs tell me they are bad yet I love them so much.

I love the artsy feel to it with the use of materials. It reminds me of hard candy but it’s a little overdone. Maybe with the right black dress.

It’s so funny what people will pay for ugly shoes. I wouldn’t want them if they were free let alone pay $860 for.
