Shoe Hot or Not: Sergio Rossi edition

I love when new magazines arrive.
Fridays when I get home from work, Entertainment Weekly is waiting for me (and I get testy if it’s not) to wind down the week. And I’ve renewed my love affair with Harper’s Bazaar, which, sure, has its missteps (Amanda de Cadenet’s profile of Demi Moore starts out, “I show up at Demi’s house my usual 30 minutes late,” which may be a new record in the “Who’s this story about, again? And who the heck are you, anyway?” category), but usually balances them out with something awesome in the same interview (Karl Lagerfeld photographs fashion!).

And in this month’s issue, I found these shoes by Sergio Rossi.
BTW, I’ve decided the best way to read a fashion magazine is back to front. The best photo spreads are always in the back. (The photo at left was on page 268 of the 272-page issue.)
So I hopped on Sergio Rossi’s website and was delighted by the sheer number of shoes that caught my eye. (Click on the thumbnails to bring up the full-size photo in a new window.)
The elastic-strap pair has a zipper up the back; I’m not sure how that would work against the heel, but when they look like that, how cares? And OK, those last ones might be a little Stripperella, but you gotta admit they’re pretty outrageous (in a fun way).
Not everything I found was that great… the green pair below remind me of the love child of a “Beowulf” creature and a particularly kinky marital aid. And the silver ones (also featured in the Bazaar spread) are sort of disco/steel stairs/stamped foil.
But back to that turquoise pair: Love them. LOVE! them. So sassy. And I don’t think it’s just because Bazaar paired them so well with that Tina Turner-tiny dress by KLS up above. (And, for the record, the dress is $355, while the shoes are (cough) a bit more. If you’re not too afraid of sticker shock, click and drag your mouse at the end of this sentence for the price: $2,100..)
So OK, we’re in fantasy land. What do you think? Are these shoes hot, or not? Cast your vote and leave your opinion in a comment below. I’ll draw one winner from the commenters who post before noon Friday, April 4, to receive two products from Talika: the anti-aging Hand Ritual Kit (for skin, $65) and the whitening Instant Manicure oxygen treatment(for nails, $33). But feel to free to leave your comment after that as well, if you wish. UPDATE: Congratulations to Shayze, whose comment was chosen as the winner.
Remember to come back for a new contender every week — and a new post (almost) every weekday.

The shoes look hot on the model for sure and I think the string of beads would make a great necklace. However, on my feet, I am not so sure. Plus, I am such a cluts that I might break the strings and beads would go flying everywhere.

I absolutely LOVE those shoes. Not a chance in hell I could walk in those heels, let alone afford them, but if I had a sugar daddy who was willing to buy them and then carry me around while I wore them, I’d be stoked.

The Blue Beads are hot but overall Sergio Rossi walks a fine line between Vegas Club Goer and Vegas Club Dancer

When I first looked at them, I thought no way. Seeing them on the model changed my mind. Those are GORGEOUS!!! I’d be too afraid to even consider wearing them though for fear of breaking off the beads, especially at that price.

These shoes are a work of art. You would HAVE to have a flair for the dramatic to pull these babies off, though - not to mention, calves of steel. My next fav are the “Stripperellas.”
