Oscar fashion: Tilda Swinton

If I were handing out awards at the Academy Wards, best supporting actress winner Tilda Swinton would also get best dressed woman.
So many actresses went for standard strapless or one-shouldered gowns that they started to blend together … was that Amy Adams or Amy Ryan or Laura Linney or Lisa Rinna? (OK, nobody’s going to mistake Lisa Rinna for those others, but still.) So I was happy to see Swinton choose something so significantly different. It won’t inspire a bunch of knockoffs by prom gown companies because it’s definitely made for a woman who doesn’t march in lockstep with the sartorial standard.
