“Blueprints & Bluejeans” fund-raiser for Habitat for Humanity

The denim-clad do-gooders at the fourth annual “Blueprints & Bluejeans” event have a chance to win tickets to see “The Oprah Winfrey Show” live in Chicago (plus free airfare and hotel accommodations at the W). But they’re really there to raise money for Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun.
The March 29 fund-raiser will be hosted by Jonathon and Lori Vento, who not only opened their Paradise Valley home for the event, they also covered its costs. That means all money raised goes to the charity, which works to provide affordable housing in the Valley.
The evening begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6:30 p.m., followed by a preview of gift baskets and prizes, including the Oprah package. Neiman Marcus presents a fashion show at 8 p.m., followed by an auction of luxury items and dessert.
Tickets are $150 a person; suggested attire is (duh) denim. For more information, contact Habitat for Humanity chief development officer Missie D’Aunoy at (602) 725-8754.

| The shirt: Long-sleeved thin cotton button-down by Theory (Neiman Marcus, during its Second Call sale) |
|||
| The pants: The same ones I wore yesterday. Not out of laziness — they match the shirt perfectly! (Given the theme of this post, denim would have been better.) |
|||
| The shoes: Leather slip-on loafers by Bacco Bucci (Last Chance, 2007) | |||
| The sweater: Five-button cardigan vest by Gap (That is, admittedly, a lot of print shirt up there.) |
