Shoe Hot or Not: Gaia Molino edition

One of my e-mail messages this morning had all the trappings of spam: Just-messy-enough English, no real addressee names in the “to” box. …
“Hi, Do you know where can I find these Gaia Molino’s shoes in the U.S ? Thanks, Ana.”
But Ana also had attached a photo of some of the shoes, so just in case I did a little researching: Gaia Molino is a Brazilian shoe designer and as it turns out Ana works at UOL, which appears to be the Brazilian version of AOL — she was looking to see if the line is widely available in the United States. (Which it’s not … yet. Their North American representative is working on it, though.)

So I thought: Are these shoes the sort of thing that would inspire you to send an international e-mail trying to find out more information about them? My favorite pair from the fall/winter 2008 line — that’s right, fall/winter 2008, already planned! — is the Eva sandal, way up top. I love the effect of the shiny button on the matte suede, and the proportion of back ankle strap to front.
But it’s not up to me — what do you think? Is this shoe hot, or not? Cast your vote and leave your opinion in a comment below. In honor of the international nature of this week’s shoe, this week’s prize is bottle of 3 in 1 Body Scrub from London company and skin care company Rodial,. The scrub contains pumice, ultrafine jojoba beads and something called pomegranate ellagic tannin cell protection, which sounds … promising but scientifically unproven.
I’ll draw one winner from the commenters who post before noon Friday, Feb. 8. (But feel to free to leave your comment after that as well, if you wish.) UPDATE 2/8/08: Congratulations to Terri, who will receive the bottle by mail.
Remember to come back for a new contender every week — and a new post every weekday.

Hot! Hot! Hot! Love the black shoes. The rest of the collection is “feio”(Portuguese for UGLY)…which needs no translation if you actually look at them.
