Great Stuff: “The Fug Awards” book

One of my favorite Web sites is Go Fug Yourself, where Jessica Morgan and Heather Cocks take celebrities — well, and Bai Ling — to task for showing up in public looking like hot messes.

Sure, we’ve all looked at, say, Sharon Stone and thought, “What the (expletive) was she thinking?” but I think the Fug Girls actually get physically pained by seeing such photos — and then write about it. We share a dislike of Kirsten Dunst, and they introduced me to the phrase “pancake boob,” which occurs when your top is mashing your breasts against your body until they’re as flat and round as the breakfast staple. I think they might be my spiritual sisters.

They’ve collected some of their best bits about stars’ worst outfits into a hardcover book, “The Fug Awards” (Simon Spotlight Entertainment, $19.95), which will be published Feb. 5. Perfect for those times and places when you’d prefer to turn a page instead of clicking a link.
