Huckabee family Christmas card

Wow. This Huckabee family Christmas card inspires so many thoughts …
I’ll leave it with: Vertical stripes are slimming, but not magical. My eyes hurt. And elbow patches on shirtsleeves? C’mon — don’t pretend you’re “jes’ folks” and Mrs. Huckabee is a darner/mender. You live in a mansion with columns and pilasters.And as Andrew Sullivan says: “Could you please stop strangling the dog?”

|||
| The pants: Wool/nylon/spandex-blend trousers by Banana Republic (surprisingly cool, considering the above) |
|||
| The shoes: Snakeskin loafers by Taxto (Last Chance, circa 2004) | |||
| The scent: Keeping with the “black” theme, Encre Noire by Lalique (read more about it in my Great Stuff column this week) |
