Shoe Hot or Not: Round 3

June 28th, 2007, 12:02 pm · 14 Comments · posted by Sam Mittelsteadt

One of my co-workers isn’t sure about these Marc Jacobs flats. "I really want to see someone’s foot in them to decide," she says.I don’t even need that: I think the big flaps on the side look ungainly and, as I wrote her back, "they look like they’d be lint-lickers."So: agree or disagree? Leave your comments below. And look for a new contender every Thursday!

That is the ugliest shoe I have ever seen!

  2. Jodi Says:

If they were a heel, maybe cute. And you know how I feel about heels.

  3. julia Says:

    i second amy’s opinion!

  4. amanda Says:

    um. no.

  5. Greg Says:

Yuck. Provincial. Not even attractive as a slipper. I don’t know anyone (including my most fashionable friends) who could pull THIS one off. Yuck. Have I mentioned Yuck?

  6. mk Says:

Trash them…..can’t image who could possibly pull them off…. Although maybe an off broadway play……..

  7. Francesca Says:

Are you kidding? This shoe is horrible!

  8. Shanna Says:

I don’t know what you guys are talking about. I love them!!

I’m way into flats and these look like a fun way to dress them up. I bet they look cute on.

  9. Michael Says:

No woman will look cute in these. Dressed up down or sideways all they say is U-G-L-Y.

  10. La Sancha Says:

the shoes are workable, they would do well with some dark denim vintage (think Jackie O) capri pants. i think the shoes would show dust/dirt easily though, you’d have to be careful with them.

  11. Christina Says:

Black ballet flats are boring and pedestrian and EVERYONE was wearing them last year. I think this shoe is an interesting alternative, although I have to see them on someone to decide. I admit, though, that if they were red they’d look a lot like the shoes found on Santa’s Helpers at the mall during the Christmas season.

  12. cj Says:

Are these made for 90- year- old Chinese women with bound feet?
    Hates them.

  13. Michael Says:

I am concerned by some of the comments more than I am the shoes.

How far off Broadway is this play you are thinking of?
    La Sancha
Dust is the least of your problems if you are wearing these shoes

Dressing Up a Flat? That is like trying to “Smartin Up the President” Some things just can’t be done.

  14. TK Says:

    UGH!! Enough said.
