Shoe Hot or Not, Round II

June 21st, 2007, 4:18 pm · 13 Comments · posted by Sam Mittelsteadt

While I was trolling through the Aldo’s web site looking for this week’s Hot or Not? contender, I couldn’t help but notice the sheer number of shoes that reminded me of ones you’d find on the girls at a strip club. (Click on each boldface word in the previous sentence to see a different pair.) I don’t know if it’s the prevalence of Day-Glo colors on patent leather, or the platform heels, or the Lucite wedges, or what. The shoe above looks downright prim by comparison, despite the swirly cutout detail at the heel. (Would that leave weird imprints on your flesh?)So: Based on looks, is the Sinfra hot enough to buy? Or not? Personally, I give it about a 4.5 out of 10 — for some reason I’m getting a "Golden Girls Night Out" vibe off it.Agree or disagree? Leave your comments below.

Totally hot. If I wasn’t afraid my ankle would buckle, I’d wear them.

  2. Sancha Says:

Ditto. Very hot, but I have weak ankles.

  3. Shanna Says:

I think Sam’s being kind with the 4.5 rating.

    They are total hooker heels!

Maybe 4.5 is how many inches taller they make you when you wear them.

  4. Kitty Says:

Nope. Potential for toe cleavage is too high. Yuck.

  5. Christina Says:

They’re like the shoes a stripper would wear to church (if strippers go to church) The height, patent leather and peep combined give me the hooker vibe but that weird back detail is something my grams would definitely be attracted to for her Sunday’s best.

  6. Michael Says:

I agree with Christina. This is a shoe for a hooker with orthopedic problems. I don’t think easy spirit markets to hookers.
It is a nice basic black pump. I give it an 8.5
I also think Jodi Sancha and Shanna need to get to an ankle work out class. As Ginger Rogers said the woman has to wear heels and dance backwards. Ah the curse of being a woman.

  7. CJ Says:

What?!?! I own these shoes. Are they hooker shoes? The hookers I’ve seen on Broadway don’t wear shoes like this. In fact, I think shoes for hookers around here are optional.

  8. Lou Says:

You’re way outta touch with the hooker population here in Arizona. Some of my best clients are hookers and you’re lucky to find them in cheap thongs from Wal Mart (both types).
Those shoes are cute. my mom has them in several colors.

  9. amanda Says:

didn’t know i had so much in common with church-going hookers who have orthopedic problems — i love ‘em
(the shoes, not the hookers, that is)

  10. TK Says:

Cute, but with a “come hither” thing going on. Annie is right, would really do great things for your legs. YES!

  11. Crazy H Says:

Hate the double strap, but it isn’t ugly.
