Christina Carlino, founder of the Valley-based skin care and cosmetics company Philosophy, has always been a believer in raising money for causes she believes in: Sales from several of the company’s body washes are earmarked for specific charities, like the Christopher Reeve Foundation, the Joyful Heart Foundation and the Rainforest Foundation.On April 4, Philosophy and Nordstrom will team up to launch the newest fund-raising 3-in-1 shampoo/shower gel/bubble bath… and it’s a piece of cake.Carrot cake, that is.April 4 is Childhelp National Day of Hope, so beginning that Wednesday, Philosophy will donate all its gross profits from the sale of each 16-ounce bottle to Childhelp, which focuses on the prevention, intervention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.The launch party begins 11:30 a.m. at Nordstrom at Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7055 E. Camelback Road, and the staff will have free carrot cake treats and product demonstrations until 3 p.m.
