I wasn’t a big fan of Uli’s stuff, but hers was the best presentation at final runway show. She deserved to win. Laura is my hero and I loved how she never let the sophomoric rantings of the guys faze her. She made BEAUTIFUL things, but didn’t stretch herself creatively. Jeffrey’s stuff all looked alike to me. And he made Angela’s mom cry! Jerk.

Well, I have to agree with your assessment, Sam...The whole season was a little disappointing to me, definitely not up to the caliber of last season in my opinion.

I truly believe that Uli should have won but that she is a victim of how last season turned out. If Daniel V. would have won instead of Chloe(who was absolutely the most deserving!), I think the outcome of this season may have been different.

All personal feelings about Jeffery aside, he is a good and edgy designer, but Uli had the best collection hands down. Sometimes I really wonder how much input the producers truly have in the process of deciding the outcomes of the episodes and the shows...

I have it on my DVR...college has been horrible this week.

I'm going to have trust your judgement for the moment, but also say I'll have to watch it and then come back with my own opinion.

Having said that, I never did like Jeffrey as a designer.

I hate to do this to you but I agree with the judges. As Michael Babbled you can see from his collection what the girl would wear to dinner, to the movies, to the beach and out in the evening all with a very strong point of view.
The saddest part is I what will I read on Thursday Mornings now? What will be your next topic?

I agree with you completely, Sam. And with Deane as well. Uli WAS robbed! I loved Laura’s collection and I am sure what she does will sell. She’ll probably end up with a great business. Michael’s collection was a disappointment after his fabulous showings all through the season. I had loved everything he did up until that awful rasberry charmeuse gown. And Uli’s bathing suit was wonderful. While I didn’t love every piece, I thought her collection was “innovative, cohesive and showed range”. Those words should have been said to Uli, not to Jeffrey. I am terrifically disappointed with the judges and Project Runway.

Was it hormones that made Laura accuse Jeffrey of cheating? Shame on her, and shame on the other 2 for suddenly agreeing with her. They’re all awesome designers, but Jeffrey was my favorite from the start, regardless of his being so unconventional. It’s still my favorite show and I can’t wait until the next season!

My personal opinion is that Uli “was robbed.” Her collection was outstanding and more saleable by the general population than Jeffery’s. Laura’s gowns were very high-end and we will surely hear more from her also. Michael’s collection didn’t live up to what I had expected from him and maybe tried too hard. He is quite young in the profession but I’m sure he will bounce back and do very well.

Sam……I agree with every word you said. I may never watch another season of Project Runway. I cannot beleive they rewarded assholery and mediocre design with a win.
